Access Your Workspace
- Go to your dashboard and log in to your workspace.
- Open the Integrations tab in the menu.
Select Slack Integration
- From the available integrations, find and select Slack.
Create an app
- Go to api.slack.com/apps
- Click "Create a new app"
- Select "From scratch"
- Come up with a name for the application and select the workspace where this application will be
Setting up the application
- Go to section "OAuth & Permissions"
- Scroll down and find the "Scopes" section under "Bot Token Scopes" click the "Add an OAuth Scope" button
- Add "chat:write" to the bot so it can send notifications
Getting a token
- Scroll up the page and find the block with "OAuth Tokens"
- Click install in workspace, you will receive a token that you need to copy
- Go back to the site upmon.app and add the token to the api field
Channel
- Create a channel or join an existing one
- Invite the created bot to the channel via @bot_name
- Return to the site upmon.app and specify the channel through which notifications will be received
